12/19 (Fri)

You can take inspired action to bring your unorthodox ideas into reality with Mars quintile Saturn (11°35′ Aquarius-29°35′ Scorpio).

12/20 (Sat)

Bringing lofty visions into practical manifestation is easier with Mercury sextile Neptune (5°7′ Capricorn-Pisces).

The energy of revolutionary transformation focuses into relationships, creativity and finances with Venus square Uranus (12°34′ Capricorn-Aries) and Venus conjunct Pluto (12°46′ Capricorn).

Don’t let Venus’ placement in Capricorn be a roadblock. Instead, let this sign’s love of hard work and accomplishment help you bring appropriate changes into concrete manifestation. If challenges arise, release everything that’s outworn its usefulness and be guided by your intuitive flashes.

Prosperity opportunities can flow more easily with Jupiter trine Ceres (22°23′ Leo-Sagittarius), the harvest goddess whose gifts include abundance. Ceres is even in Sagittarius, the sign of unlimited expansion! Remember that the trine can be a lazy aspect, and needs your help to achieve its fullest manifestation. So mine that trine!

A Mars-Uranus sextile (12°34′ Aquarius-Aries) smoothly energizes the opportunity to take immediate action on your intuitive flashes. You can also use this aspect to do what reflects your unique personality and serve the collective with your special gifts.

12/21 (Sun)

Relationship healing receives smooth, energetic support with Venus sextile Chiron (13°27′ Capricorn-Pisces). This is also a great time for mentoring in practical matters.

Uranus, retrograde since 7/21, turns direct today at 12°34′ Aries. This is a powerful time to move forward with embodying your unique personality, following your intuitive flashes and being of service with your special skills.

The Sun enters Capricorn on 12/21 at 6:03 PM EST, marking the Winter Solstice. This is the longest night of the year in the northern hemisphere. The Sun now radiates the energies of maturity, responsibility, productivity, good time management and sensible planning and execution.

12-21-14 new moonNew Moon

The New Moon follows close upon the heels of the Sun’s sign change, just as it did in November. Less than three hours after the Sun enters Capricorn, the New Moon lines up at 8:36 PM EST (0°6′ Capricorn). New beginnings in all the Capricornian themes just mentioned are supported.

Aspects

This lunation’s aspects give fresh energy to learning and communication (wide Mercury conjunction), as well as spiritual awakening practices and inspired creativity (Neptune square).

Sabian Symbol

This New Moon’s Sabian Symbol is, “An Indian chief claims recognition and power from the assembled tribe.” Is there some position of leadership or power that it’s time for you to step into or more fully embody?

12/22 (Mon)

No major astrology events.

12/23 (Tue)

Saturn enters Sagittarius on 12/23. (Saturn only changes signs about every 2-1/2 years, so it’s significant when he does.) Saturn in Sag can help you more productively structure your efforts in the areas of religion, philosophy, foreign travel and higher education. Saturn will retrograde back into Scorpio on 6/14/15, then settle into Sagittarius 9/18/15 through 12/19/17.

12/24 (Wed)

A Mercury-Uranus square (12°34′ Capricorn-Aries) late today combines with a Mercury-Pluto conjunction (12°55′ Capricorn) in the wee hours tomorrow, less than three hours later. This stimulation of the multi-year Uranus-Pluto square  can help revolutionize your thinking, particularly in matters relating to the status quo and conventional perceptions of reality.

(One way to honor the mentally liberating spirit of these aspects is to read Naomi Klein’s important new book This Changes Everything: Capitalism vs. The Climate. I also recommend her prior masterpiece, The Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism, which radically transformed my understanding of how the global powers-that-be operate.)

12/25 (Thu)

Information about today’s Mercury-Pluto conjunction is incorporated into yesterday’s forecast.

While it can be great to be around family on Christmas Day, it can also be stressful. Fortunately, a Mercury-Chiron sextile (13°34′ Capricorn-Pisces) supports healing communication.

12/26 (Fri)

It can feel great to step beyond the materialistic greed of the holiday season and give selfless service to a worthy cause. Today’s Uranus-Vesta square (12°34 Aries-Capricorn) can give you fresh inspiration on how to serve the greater good.

Any Sun-Neptune sextile (5°16′ Capricorn-Pisces) can stimulate creative inspiration and divine connection. With the Sun in Capricorn, it also supports holding divine consciousness in your daily activities and Law of Attraction manifestation.

12/27 (Sat)

The rewards of serving something greater than your own selfish desires are magnified with Pluto conjunct Vesta (13°1′ Capricorn). You get brownie points if the cause you’re serving creates positive transformation. Sacred sex is also supported by this conjunction.

12/28 (Sun)

Are your relationships practical? Are they moving you toward your goals? These are good questions to ask under the magnifying glass effect of Venus quincunx Jupiter (22°0′ Capricorn-Leo). You can apply the same self-inquiry to your money management.

You can more solidly embody feminine assertiveness and strategic planning with Saturn conjunct Pallas Athena (0°33′ Sagittarius).

12/29 (Mon)

No major astrology events.

12/30 (Tue)

Your thinking can receive a fresh hit of creative energy with Mercury quincunx Jupiter (21°50′ Capricorn-Leo). But first you may have to consciously step out of your usual mental patterns and call in  inspiration!

12/31 (Wed)

No major astrology events.

Void-of-Course Moons

It’s best to avoid starting important new projects or making major purchases during void-of-course Moons. “Business as usual” is the optimal strategy. Void-of-course Moons occur when the Moon has made her last major Ptolemaic aspect, but has not yet moved into her next sign.
