11/17 (Thu)
On its own, today’s Uranus-Pallas Athena sextile (21°16′ Aries-Aquarius) can give you the flashes of insight you need to take your feminine assertiveness and strategic brilliance to the next level. This aspect is also part of a Cradle aspect pattern which also includes Ceres, Jupiter and Saturn. This Cradle starts on 11/23, peaks on 11/28 and ends on 12/1.
11/18 (Fri)
Is your logical mind not firing on all cylinders? That can happen with Mercury square Neptune (9°14′ Sagittarius-Pisces). This aspect makes a constant flow of intuitive guidance available, so ask your inner wisdom for the information that your rational mind isn’t providing.
Even if your left brain is working fine, try asking for intuitive answers before you fire up the old logic mill. In my experience, nothing beats intuition for accuracy and insight!
11/19 (Sat)
Neptune Stations Direct
Neptune, retrograde since 6/13, turns direct today (11/19) at 9°14′ Pisces. This is great for new beginnings in spiritual awakening, dream work and the expression of your creative inspirations.
Planets are most powerful when they station (change direction). Neptune’s effect as a transiting planet is to dissolve what doesn’t serve highest good, and add ease and flow to what does. Sensitive natal points in your chart between 6° and 12° in the mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces) will feel the effects of this Neptune station most powerfully.
A Neptune station can also tempt you toward Neptune’s dark side. These possibilities include overindulging in drugs or alcohol, excessive escapism, aimlessness and playing the victim. Focus on the high side potentials above to give Neptune something better to do!
Not only does Neptune station direct today, it also forms a Neptune-Venus sextile (9°14′ Pisces-Capricorn). This harmonious and energizing aspect supports creativity, spiritual awakening and consciously experiencing the divinity within other beings. With Venus in Capricorn, this sextile also supports Law of Attraction manifestation.
Business, financial and creative mentoring can be blessed with extra insight under a Venus-Chiron quintile (8°44′ Capricorn-20°44′ Pisces).
11/20 (Sun)
No major astrology events.
11/21 (Mon)
The Sun enters Sagittarius today, amplifying your potential for joy, celebration and enthusiasm. Forays into philosophy, religion, and the meaning of life are energized. More energy is also available for foreign travel and immersion into other cultures. Sagittarian energy doesn’t always know when to stop, so don’t bite off more than you can chew!
Your ability to take immediate action on your intuitive flashes is brilliantly enhanced by a Mars-Uranus quintile (9°8′ Aquarius-21°8′ Aries).
11/22 (Tue)
Learning and communication get strong, smooth support as Mercury sextiles Jupiter (15°23′ Sagittarius-Libra). This is a great time to learn what you need to learn, or broadcast the information you’re here to share!
11/23 (Wed)
Cradle Begins: Pallas Athena-Ceres-Jupiter-Saturn-Uranus
Two overlapping Cradle aspect patterns begin during the second half of November. Cradles are mostly harmonious because they have five soft aspects: three sextiles and two trines. The one hard aspect, an opposition, provides some initiating energy.
All of these Cradles’ planets are in the masculine fire and air signs. This adds some good initiating energy, but you’ll still need to apply conscious effort to activate these Cradles’ full potential.
Both Cradles starting in November share Ceres, Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus. The Cradle that starts today also includes Pallas Athena, while the one that starts on 11/30 incorporates Mars. The Pallas Athena-Ceres-Jupiter-Saturn-Uranus Cradle that starts today (11/23) peaks on 11/28 and ends on 12/1.
Best Use of Both Cradles
To make the best use of both cradles, be as authentically yourself as possible (Uranus). Pay attention to the actions your intuitive flashes (Uranus) are asking you to take. Then create and implement a structured plan to implement them (Saturn). Think big (Jupiter) and recruit appropriate allies to help you (Jupiter in Libra).
Your Cradle initiatives might relate to financial abundance or improved self-esteem (both ruled by Ceres). Or they might relate to breakthroughs or breakaways (Uranus) in religion, your life philosophy, or politics (all three ruled by Jupiter).
Exclusive to This Cradle
So far, everything I’ve said applies to both cradles. Focusing specifically on the Cradle starting today (11/23) with Pallas Athena, it would be best to fuel this initiative with a gentler feminine assertiveness. Rather than using brute force, see what you can accomplish using finesse, strategy and negotiation. And with Pallas Athena in Aquarius and sextile Uranus, thinking outside the box is highly recommended!
You can bring extra focus and discipline to your learning and communication under a Mercury-Saturn conjunction (16°53′ Sagittarius). If your self-expression feels inappropriately restrained (Saturn), use this conjunction’s Sagittarian energy to break free!
11/24 (Thu)
T-square Begins: Venus-Jupiter-Uranus-Pluto
The current Jupiter-Uranus-Pluto T-square is augmented by Venus starting today as she cozies up to Pluto in Capricorn. This week-long Venus-Jupiter-Uranus-Pluto T-square peaks on 11/27 and ends on 11/30.
Rather than adding a lot of new meanings, Venus’ presence mainly serves to reemphasize some existing ones. As I wrote in the T-square forecast,
Jupiter is in Libra, the sign of relationship and creativity. How can you take these to the next level in your life?
The addition of Venus underscores this statement. Challenge is likely to arise in relationships that aren’t serving highest good in their current form. It’s up to you to decide whether a challenged relationship would be best served by letting it go, minimizing contact, or working to heal it.
Venus also adds a meaning that Libra doesn’t have: money. So be alert to ways you can improve your financial situation. The universe may tap you on the shoulder with an intuitive flash!
An aspect as important as a Jupiter-Pluto square (15°46′ Libra-Capricorn) would normally merit an extensive write-up of its own. But I’ve already thoroughly explored its meanings within my interpretation of the Jupiter-Pluto-Uranus T-square which includes it.
11/25 (Fri)
Venus makes two aspects today that are part of the Venus-Jupiter-Uranus-Pluto T-square that started yesterday: a Venus-Pluto conjunction (15°47′ Capricorn) and a Venus-Jupiter square (15°53′ Capricorn-Libra). My T-square interpretation includes the meanings of these individual aspects.
11/26 (Sat)
Mercury makes two aspects today: a Mercury-Chiron square (20°40′ Sagittarius-Pisces) and a Mercury-Uranus trine (21°0′ Sagittarius-Aries). These aspects support healing and mentoring, and make it easier to receive intuitive flashes. It’s a great time for big picture breakthrough thinking!
11/27 (Sun)
T-square peaks: Venus-Jupiter-Uranus-Pluto
The Venus-Jupiter-Uranus-Pluto T-square that started on 11/24 peaks today (11/27) and ends on 11/30.
11/28 (Mon)
Cradle Peaks: Pallas Athena-Ceres-Jupiter-Saturn-Uranus
The Pallas Athena-Ceres-Jupiter-Saturn-Uranus Cradle that started on 11/23 peaks today (11/28) and ends on 12/1.
11/29 (Tue)
Sagittarius New Moon
A New Moon lines up at 7:18 AM EST at 7°42′ Sagittarius. This supports new beginnings in religion, philosophy, foreign travel, and exposure to other cultures. It’s great for opening yourself to new learning or sharing your wisdom with others. And it supports euphoria, joy, expansion and enthusiasm!
Aspects
This New Moon has an extremely tight conjunction to Juno. This supports the formation of new committed partnerships, or the infusion of new energy into existing ones. If an existing partnership doesn’t feel exciting or adventurous enough, is there something you can do to rekindle it?
This lunation tightly squares the lunar nodes. Are you living your life in alignment with your soul purpose? (Hint: it’ll feel very juicy and exciting if you are!) If not, how can you get on track with what you’re really here to do?
Neptune makes a close square to the luminaries, energizing spiritual union activities and the expression of your creative inspirations. Focus your attention on these activities if Neptune’s lower side temptations arise: substance abuse, excessive escapism, aimlessness or playing the victim.
A trine from Vesta, this lunation’s only soft aspect, encourages you to hone your abilities and use them for a higher cause. And sesquares from Uranus and Ceres suggest how you can take your self-esteem and abundance to the next level: by being your authentic self, following your intuitive flashes, and serving others with the special gifts that you most love to use.
Sabian Symbol
This lunation’s Sabian Symbol is, “Deep within the depths of the earth, new elements are being formed.” This is a beautiful metaphor for the new consciousness you can experience if you’re willing to do your inner work. The euphoria offered by expansive Sagittarius is ultimately set free by shadow work. This is your willingness to face and heal your psychological wounds from this lifetime and previous ones. As the archetypal hero’s journey demonstrates, the way to the light is through the darkness.
My Healing Invocation and post on global shadow work resources can give you some helpful tools and modalities to explore. Based on my experience, and that of my clients, healing and awakening almost always go together.
Dive into your psychological depths and do inner alchemy with the gold and shadow buried there — until the shadow is integrated, it always hides the gold. The “new elements” you’ll form – states of consciousness incorporating unimaginably blissful peacefulness, power and unconditional love — will be precious beyond your wildest dreams!
Relationship healing is smoothly and powerfully supported with Venus sextile Chiron (20°40′ Capricorn-Pisces). This aspect also supports giving or receiving mentoring around relationships, creativity and finances.
The meaning of today’s Venus-Uranus square (20°55′ Capricorn-Aries) is included in my interpretation of the Venus-Jupiter-Uranus-Pluto T-square that it’s part of.
11/30 (Wed)
Cradle Begins: Mars-Ceres-Jupiter-Saturn-Uranus
November’s second Cradle aspect pattern begins today, incorporating Mars,Ceres, Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus. I wrote a great deal that applies to both cradles in my 11/23 forecast. For your convenience, I’m including a slightly edited version of the parts of that interpretation that apply here.
Prior Information
Cradles are mostly harmonious because they have five soft aspects: three sextiles and two trines. The one hard aspect, an opposition, provides some initiating energy.
All of these Cradles’ planets are in the masculine fire and air signs. This adds some good initiating energy, but you’ll still need to apply conscious effort to activate these Cradles’ full potential.
Both Cradles starting in November share Ceres, Jupiter, Saturn and Uranus. The Cradle that started on 11/23 also includes Pallas Athena, while the one that starts today (11/30) incorporates Mars. The Mars-Ceres-Jupiter-Saturn-Uranus Cradle that starts today (11/30) peaks on 12/6 and ends on 12/11.
To make the best use of both cradles, be as authentically yourself as possible (Uranus). Pay attention to the actions your intuitive flashes (Uranus) are asking you to take. Then create and implement a structured plan to implement them (Saturn). Think big (Jupiter), and recruit appropriate allies to help you (Jupiter in Libra).
Your Cradle initiatives might relate to financial abundance or improved self-esteem (both ruled by Ceres). Or they might relate to breakthroughs or breakaways (Uranus) in religion, your life philosophy, or politics (all three ruled by Jupiter).
New Information
The Cradle that includes Pallas Athena ends tomorrow, and supports the use of finesse, strategy and negotiation. You’ll know by now if that gentler approach was effective. If so, you can stay that course.
This new Cradle features Mars, which can be more direct and aggressive. It’s more like Han Solo on the Death Star in the first Star Wars movie: “Bring ’em on, I’d prefer a straight fight to all this sneaking around!”
I’m not advocating violence or unnecessary roughness. But if a more forceful, yang approach is needed to get the job done, this new Cradle with Mars will support you.
November closes with two Neptune aspects: a Mercury-Neptune quintile (27°16′ Sagittarius-9°16′ Pisces) and a Sun-Neptune square (9°16′ Sagittarius-Pisces).
Neptune is offering pretty much the same potential opportunities and challenges here that it did when it squared the New Moon on 11/29. On the high side, it energizes spiritual union activities and encourages you to express your creative inspirations into the world. If you’re feeling tempted into substance abuse, excessive escapism, aimlessness or playing the victim, redirect your attention to spirituality and/or creativity and Neptune will follow suit.
Mercury and the Sun are both in Sagittarius, the sign of religion. So these aspects also invite you to enrich your religious path with more experiential spirituality.
Void-of-Course Moons
It’s best to avoid starting important new projects or making major purchases during void-of-course Moons. “Business as usual” is the optimal strategy. Void-of-course Moons occur when the Moon has made her last major Ptolemaic aspect, but has not yet moved into her next sign.
