May 26-June 1 2014 Astrology Forecast: 7 Asteroid Goddess Aspect Patterns Peak!

vesta holding fire bowlIt’s extraordinary enough to have seven aspect patterns peaking in a single week. It’s even more amazing that they all involve asteroid goddesses. Hang onto your tiara!

This packed astro-week also includes a Gemini New Moon, two asteroid goddesses turning direct, and much more!

5/26 (Mon)

Healing energy is available in your committed partnerships with Chiron sextile Juno.

T-square peaks: Sun-Pallas Athena-Neptune

A T-square containing the Geminian Sun, Virgoan Pallas Athena and Neptune peaks today. It started on 5/21 and ends on 6/1.

As I wrote in my 5/21 forecast, beware of cunning con artists trying to pull the wool over your eyes. This T-square could inspire you to offer compassionate service with your strategic skills, feminine assertiveness and/or practical creativity. It could also be a recipe for inspired thinking and planning.

5/27 (Tue)

Vesta stations direct today. It’s a good time to begin implementing any insights you’ve gained since 3/1, when she turned retrograde, regarding service to a higher calling or sacred sexuality.

Speaking of Vesta, two potent aspect patterns featuring this asteroid goddess peak today. Both feature the most powerful components of the Cardinal Grand Cross that peaked last month. These aspect patterns open the door to revolutionary transformation in your service to a higher cause, and to sacred sexuality.

T-square Peaks: Vesta-Uranus-Pluto

The first aspect pattern, and the one that lasts the longest, is a T-square featuring Vesta and the multi-year Uranus-Pluto square. This T-square started on 4/25 and ends on 6/25, giving you plenty of time to work with Vesta’s core themes.

Grand Cross Peaks: Vesta-Jupiter-Uranus-Pluto

The second aspect pattern is a Grand Cross. It keeps the core meaning of the Vesta-Uranus-Pluto T-square, while adding the amplifying power of Jupiter to take it to the next level. It also started on 4/25, but ends three weeks sooner than the T-square, on 6/4.

Yod Peaks: Juno-Ceres-Chiron

Why settle for two peaking aspect patterns in a day when you can have three? The Juno-Ceres-Chiron Yod that started on 5/24 peaks today and ends on 6/1.

As I wrote in my 5/24 forecast, you can make the best use of this by focusing on how your committed partnerships are affecting your self-esteem. If you’re with someone who makes you feel worse about yourself, or vice versa, this is a good time to work on healing that dysfunctional pattern.

5/28 (Wed)

Smooth, fluid communication is made easier with Geminian Mercury sextile Venus. With Venus in assertive Aries, this is a great time to connect with new people and inject fresh energy into existing relationships.

New Moon

The Gemini New Moon lines up at 2:40 pm (7°21′ Gemini), energizing new beginnings in learning, communication, playfulness and tricksterism.

Aspects

This lunation’s tight square from Neptune might cause your rational thought processes to become a bit muddy at times. If so, you can call on your intuitive wisdom to fill in the gaps.

A tight trine from Mars bolsters your New Moon initiatives with an easy flow of initiating energy.

A moderately strong square from Pallas Athena indicates possible challenge for growth. If so, consider using Pallas Athena’s core strengths — appropriate assertiveness, strategic planning and practical creativity – to master the situation.

Sabian Symbol

This lunation’s Sabian Symbol is, “Aroused strikers surround a factory.” (No, not that kind of aroused! ;-) ) This image reminds us that we don’t have to put up with unfair conditions in our lives. And remember that negotiating from a place of love and respect can be more productive than resorting to threats and violence.

In addition to its influence on the New Moon, today’s Sun-Neptune square can create a powerful yearning for altered states. Some will be tempted to overindulge in substances, engage in escapist behavior, drift aimlessly or play the martyr.

More life-affirming uses of this aspect include engaging in spiritual union activities (my free invocations have helped many people connect with Source quickly and easily) and manifesting your creative inspiration in the physical world.

A Saturn-Juno opposition may help you identify any structural challenges in your committed partnerships. Examine your relationships with a dispassionate eye to see if they support your ultimate objectives, and restructure or release as appropriate. If the relationship is already solid, this aspect can help you take it to the next level.

Venus transits Taurus, a sign she rules, through 6/22. This provides support for finances, material resources and sensual indulgence. This placement can also be helpful for taking it easy, relationship stabilization, and multisensory creative expression.

5/29 (Thu)

Mercury enters Cancer on 5/29, turns retrograde on 6/7, then reenters Gemini on 6/16. Rather than focusing on worries and insecurities while Mercury is in Cancer, place your attention on nurturing thoughts and compassionate communication.

Kite Peaks: Juno-Jupiter-Saturn-Chiron

The Juno-Jupiter-Saturn-Chiron Kite that started on 5/18 peaks today and ends on 6/4. Any issues arising in your committed partnerships – be they romantic or platonic – can be more easily healed while this four-point aspect pattern is active.

5/30 (Fri)

No major astrological events.

5/31 (Sat)

Learning, communication, relating and creativity are all smoothly energized as the Geminian Sun trines Libran Mars.

Today’s Jupiter-Juno sextile is part of the Juno-Jupiter-Saturn-Chiron Kite that peaked on 5/29. See that interpretation to understand this aspect in its larger context.

6/1 (Sun)

Ceres, retrograde since 2/27, turns direct today. If you’ve been reflecting on themes such as abundance, fertility, harvest, release and return or mother-daughter relationships, this is a good time to begin implementing your insights.

T-square Peaks: Ceres-Uranus-Pluto

Two related aspect patterns featuring the asteroid goddess Ceres peak today. These interpretations are slightly modified from the ones that appeared in my 5/8 forecast.

The longer-lasting aspect pattern is a T-square (a geometrical right triangle), with Ceres temporarily stimulating the multi-year Uranus-Pluto square.

This Ceres-Uranus-Pluto T-square focuses the energy of revolutionary transformation into the themes of abundance, self-esteem, mother-daughter relationships, and release and return. It has two peaks — today (when Ceres stations direct) and 6/13 — and ends on 6/20.

Grand Cross Peaks: Ceres-Jupiter-Uranus-Pluto

The second peaking aspect pattern adds Jupiter to the Ceres-Uranus-Pluto T-square to form a Grand Cross. Three of these planets are members of the Cardinal Grand Cross that peaked on 4/22. The key difference is that Ceres is the fourth planet instead of Mars.

The meaning of this Ceres-Jupiter-Uranus-Pluto Grand Cross is fundamentally the same as the Ceres-Uranus-Pluto T-square. Jupiter’s presence amplifies this aspect pattern’s power and adds a sense of hope, joy and enthusiasm. Jupiter’s placement in Cancer reiterates the theme of revolutionary transformation within the family, piggybacking on Ceres’ resonanace with mother-daughter relationships.

The Ceres-Jupiter-Uranus-Pluto Grand Cross started on 5/8 and ends on 6/4.

Erratum

The Yod discussed in last week’s 5/20 forecast mistakenly listed Pallas Athena in Vesta’s place, and has since been corrected. The interpretation of the Yod, which was written with Vesta in mind, was correct from the start.

Void-of-Course Moons

It’s best to avoid starting important new projects or making major purchases during void-of-course Moons. “Business as usual” is the optimal strategy. Void-of-course Moons occur when the Moon has made her last major Ptolemaic aspect, but has not yet moved into her next sign.

  • 5/27, 5:10 am – 5/28, 12:49 am (Gemini)
  • 5/29, 5:59 am – 5/30, 10:15 am (Cancer)
  • 6/1, 2:33 – 9:45 pm (Leo)

Whatever your Sun Sign, Benjamin’s forecasts can help you make the best use of the current astrological energies.

All dates and times are in the U.S. eastern time zone. Events are most powerful on the dates listed, but their influence will be active for at least several days before and after.

Everyone is affected by these global transits. However, you will be most powerfully impacted when moving planets activate sensitive points in your natal chart.
